Our next book club<\/strong> meeting is scheduled for Tuesday,\u00a0 April 14th at 6:00 pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 The book selection is\u00a0The Lion Women of Tehran<\/em> by Marjan Kamali.<\/strong>\u00a0 This is a sweeping historical novel detailing the decades-long friendship, betrayal and eventual reconciliation of two Iranian women, Ellie and Homa.\u00a0 Beginning in the 1950’s, the story follow them from childhood to adulthood, focusing on their contrasting paths in Iran amidst immense political turmoil.<\/p>\n

The Adult craft hour<\/strong> is Wednesday, April 22nd at 6 pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 Bring any projects you are working on.\u00a0 There will also be some water color supplies on hand for some fun dabbling in water color.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Come to the library and pick up a green bag with our barcode.\u00a0 Just take your bag to the Hannaford’s in Turner<\/strong> and\u00a0 scan the bag and drop it off.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

We have an account with Coach Terry’s bottle redemption programs in Turner<\/strong>.\u00a0 \u00a0Just let them know it’s for the Livermore Library in Livermore.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Livermore Public Library has 2 computers that are fully equipped with software packages and Internet Access.\u00a0 These are for patrons’ use and there are no fees involved.\u00a0 A heartfelt \u201cThank You\u201d to the Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation and to\u00a0the\u00a0Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for their generous contributions that enabled us to purchase new\u00a0\u00a0computers!\u00a0 We also have\u00a0wireless\u00a0access for those that would like to use their own devices.<\/p>\n

The Livermore Public Library Association was incorporated on May 25, 1917. The library building has been located on town maps dating back as\u00a0 far as 1850.\u00a0 This privately owned library is generously supported by the community and has always been staffed by volunteers.\u00a0 We invite you to stop by and become acquainted with our delightful small town library.<\/p>\n
